As far
as component warranties are concerned, Hot Spring®
Spas established the industry standard of 5
years back in 1989. It's withstood the test
of time, and our warranty remains comprehensive
and straightforward. As you'll see, we are proud
to disclose its full detail because there is
no fine print to hide. It's our pledge of quality
to you.
SEVEN-YEAR
SURFACE/STRUCTURAL WARRANTY:
Watkins Manufacturing
Corporation warrants the Endurol® and acrylic
surface material of the Hot Spring Portable
Spa not to peel, crack, wrinkle, blister, yellow,
efface, or delaminate for a period of seven
years from the spa's purchase date. Additionally,
the Endurol or acrylic surface material is structurally
warranted not to leak for a period of seven
years from the spa's purchase date. The Endurol
and acrylic surface materials are nonpermeable
and will not absorb odors, bacteria or pollutants.
The base
support is not included in this warranty, but
is warranted to be free from defects in materials
or workmanship at the time of delivery to the
original consumer purchaser.
FIVE-YEAR
COMPONENT WARRANTY:
Watkins Manufacturing
Corporation warrants the electrical components,
pumps, Moto-Massage® jets, DreamJet®
plumbing assembly, air valves, levers, and other
Hot Spring spa components against malfunction,
leaking, or defects in materials and workmanship
for a period of five years from the spa's purchase
date. Filter cartridges, filter lid, spa pillows,
DreamJet pillow and membrane, and coverlocks
are not included in this warranty, but are warranted
to be free from defects in materials or workmanship
at the time of delivery to the original consumer
purchaser. (Spa covers, FreshWater® ozone
purification systems, Luminescence™ L.E.D.
light, jet replacement kits and other spa accessories
are specifically excluded from this warranty,
although they may be covered by other warranties.
Please check with your Hot Spring Dealer for
details.)
FIVE-YEAR
NO-FAULT® HEATER WARRANTY:
Watkins Manufacturing
Corporation unconditionally warrants the No-Fault
heater against any failure that would require
replacement. This warranty's duration is equal
to the time period identified in the Component
Warranty above. This warranty defines unconditional
as warranty coverage without exception provided
that the component has failed to operate properly
within the spa's system. This means that conditions
that would normally invalidate the limited warranty,
such as water chemistry damage, do not apply
to the No-Fault heater.
FIVE-YEAR
NO LEAK WARRANTY:
Watkins Manufacturing
Corporation warrants the Hot Spring spa not
to leak for a period of five years from its
purchase date. This warranty specifically covers
leaks from the wall fittings, jet fittings,
internal plumbing, internal glue joints, freeze
drains and all bonded parts including the filter
compartment, light lens and Moto-Massage®
jet niches.
FIVE-YEAR
EVERWOOD® CABINET WARRANTY:
Watkins Manufacturing
Corporation warrants the Everwood cabinet material
not to peel, crack, wrinkle, blister or delaminate,
and to be free from defects in material and
workmanship for a period of five years from
the spa's purchase date. This warranty specifically
coves the cabinet's structural integrity (exclusive
of surface stain), including all glue and integral
bonded joints.
The Everwood
cosmetic finish is warranted to be free from
defects at the time of initial delivery to the
original consumer purchaser. Fading and weathering
of the surface will naturally occur over time
and are not considered warrantable defects.
To restore the Everwood cabinet's appearance,
refer to the spa Owner's Manual for proper care
and maintenance instructions.
ONE-YEAR
TRIM (TILE)
Watkins Manufacturing
Corporation warrants the cosmetic trim (tile)
to be free from defects in materials and workmanship
for a period of one year from the spa's purchase
date.
ONE-YEAR
LED LIGHT
Watkins Manufacturing
Corporation warrants the LED light assembly
to be free from defects in materials and workmanship
for a period of one year from the spa's purchase
date.
EXTENT
OF WARRANTY:
This warranty extends
only to the original consumer purchaser of the
Hot Spring spa when purchased and originally
installed or relocated within the boundaries
of the United States and Canada. The Hot Spring
spa warranty terminates upon any transfer of
ownership or if the spa is installed or relocated
outside the boundaries of the United States
and Canada by the original consumer purchaser
prior to the expiration of the warranty period.
WARRANTY
PERFORMANCE:
In the event of
any malfunction or defect covered under the
terms of this warranty, a Factory Authorized
Service Agent of Watkins Manufacturing Corporation
will repair the Hot Spring spa. To obtain service,
contact the Factory Authorized Service Agent
who sold you the spa. There will be no charge
for parts, labor or the freight costs for parts
necessary to repair the spa. In some cases,
reasonable repair person travel charges may
be assessed if you live beyond the normal servicing
area of the Factory Authorized Agent.
Watkins
Manufacturing Corporation maintains an extensive
service network in all fifty states and throughout
Canada. In the event the consumer purchaser
should be unable to either obtain service or
satisfactory service from a Factory Authorized
Service Agent, notify the Service Department
of Watkins Manufacturing Corporation. Written
notice of any malfunction or defect must be
given within ten (10) days of the time the malfunction
is discovered, and must be accompanied by the
original consumer purchase receipt of the spa
which shows the date of purchase.

Watkins Manufacturing Corporation reserves the
right to inspect the malfunction or defect on
location.
ACTS
INVALIDATING WARRANTY:
This warranty is
void if this Hot Spring spa has been improperly
installed, subjected to alteration, misuse or
abuse, or if any repairs on the spa are attempted
by anyone other than an authorized representative
of Watkins Manufacturing Corporation. Alteration
shall include any component or plumbing change,
electrical conversion, or the addition of any
non-approved* sanitation or water purification
device or heating system which contributes to
a component or unit failure or unsafe operating
system. Misuse and abuse shall include: Any
operation of the spa other than in accordance
with Watkins Manufacturing Corporation's printed
instructions, or use of the spa in an application
for which it is not designed. Specifically:
Use of the spa in a non-residential application;
damage caused by operation of the spa outside
the specified voltage requirements (115v or
230v +or- 10%) or operation** of the spa at
water temperatures outside the range of 32°F
and 120°F; damage caused by voltage spikes
or "brown out" conditions; damage
caused by dirty, clogged or calcified filter
cartridges (see Spa Care and Maintenance instructions
in the Owner's Manual); damage to the spa surface
caused by the use of tri-chloro chlorine, BCDMH,
chemical tablets in a floater, acid, or any
other spa chemicals or spa surface cleaners
which are not recommended by Watkins Manufacturing
Corporation; damage caused by allowing undissolved
spa sanitizing chemicals to lie on the spa surface
(no spa material can withstand this kind of
abuse); damage to components (excluding the
No-Fault heater) or spa surface caused by improper
pH balance or other improper water chemistry
maintenance; and damage to the spa surface caused
by leaving the spa uncovered while empty of
water and in direct exposure to sunlight (this
may cause solar heating distress) are considered
abuses and may invalidate this warranty. Acts
of nature, and damage caused by animals, rodents
and insects are considered abuses and are not
covered under this warranty.
The filter
lid on the spa is not designed to support heavy
weight loads and should not be used as a seat.
In extreme cases the lid could crack and break.
This occurance is considered abuse and is not
covered under this warranty.
DISCLAIMERS:
Watkins Manufacturing Corporation shall not
be liable for loss of use of the Hot Spring
spa or other incidental, consequential, special,
indirect, or punitive costs, expenses, or damages
which may include, but are not limited to, the
removal of a permanent deck or other custom
fixture, or the necessity for crane removal.
Any implied warranty shall have a duration equal
to the duration of the applicable warranty stated
above. Some states do not allow limitations
on how long an implied warranty lasts. Under
no circumstances shall Watkins Manufacturing
Corporation, or any of its representatives,
be held liable for injury to any person, or
damage to any property, however arising. Some
states do not allow the exclusion or limitation
of incidental or consequential damages, so the
above limitations or exclusions may not apply
to you.
LEGAL
REMEDIES:
This warranty gives you specific legal rights,
and you may have other rights which vary from
state to state.
